CS/CS/CS/SB 752 was substituted for HB 1477 and passed by a vote of 77-38 so now we just wait Charlie's signature and the calander to turn to July 1 and then it is a little higher stakes poker for us in Florida. Alright!!!

Five Dollar Poker? Could be. The Senate passes the Cardroom Bill.
The Florida Senate passed Bill 752 on Friday, April 29, with a vote of 29-10. This bill will increase the limit stakes to $5 per bet from $2, allows for $100 max buy-in no limit, high hand jack pots, and $800 max buy-in tournaments.

Begining of the Repeal?

Deep Stacks at Derby Lane
Thursdays are Deep Stack days at Derby Lane. The poker room now will run 6 deep stack multi table tournaments giving each player 4000 units to start. The deep stacks do not include the main tournaments or the single table SNG's.
The deep stack schedule is as follows
Start time Min/Max players
1:00 pm 50 players
2:00 pm 40-50 players
3:00 pm 30-40 Players
7:00 pm 30-40 players
8:00 pm 40-50 players
9:00 pm 30-40 players
The tournaments have 20 minute blind levels and progress at the following rate.
25/50, 50/100, 100/200, 200/400, 300/600, 500/1000, 1000/2000, 2000/4000, 3000/6000 and 4000/8000 until the end of the tournament.
